You start your ride at the top of Bessie Gulch in the Black Hills of South Dakota.Your horse is assigned and you get riding instruction to help you enjoy your tour.You continue down into the Gulch and learn about geology, mining sites, plants and animals. Your horse takes you into Blacktail Gulch and to a mill site and old railroad grade. Passing prospecting holes and mine openings, you enter Grayback Gulch and stop to rest the horses.After a short hike, you reach the summit and have a view of the Northern Hills.
